The 2023 Network and Data Security Industry Conference, hosted by the China International Digital Economy Expo Organizing Committee, and organized by the Network Security Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Information Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), will be held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in September.

Network and data security is an important part of China’s overall national security concept. Actively developing the network and data security industry is crucial to building a secure, stable, and prosperous cyberspace, as well as being a strategic cornerstone for national security in the digital age. With the booming development of China’s digital economy and the increasing levels of networking, digitization, and intelligence, it has become an important task in the digital age to promote the high-quality development of the network and data security industry and establish a solid foundation for the secure development of the digital economy.

The theme of this conference is “Building Network and Data Security Barriers to Safeguard the Development of the Digital Economy.” It will invite experts and scholars from all aspects of the network and data security field, including government, industry, academia, research, and application, to discuss industry-focused topics such as technological innovation, integration of industry and education, and application practices. The goal is to explore new paths for the development of network and data security industry, promote the deep integration of four chains of innovation, industry, funds, and talents, and facilitate the high-quality development of network and data security industry while assisting in the construction of an advanced manufacturing cluster for world-class network security industries in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Focus on Security Barriers with a Clear Theme

The conference will be themed “Building Network and Data Security Barriers to Safeguard the Development of the Digital Economy”, and will engage in in-depth discussions on topics including the top-level architecture of network and data security, technological foundations, industry development, supply-demand connection, and integration of the industrial chain. The conference will feature high-level dialogues, inviting representatives from both the supply and demand sides, and experts and scholars. They will share the latest technological innovations and industry development practices in the field of network and data security, drawing on the digital transformation needs of state-owned and local enterprises and key companies.

Promote the Industry’s Development with the Presence of Prominent Experts

The conference will invite academician Shen Changxiang and Wu Jiangxing from Chinese Academy of Engineering to attend and deliver speeches. More than 120 representatives from the fields of government-industry-academia-research-application-finance will be invited to explore key topics such as the development path of the network and data security industry, technological innovation, ecological cooperation, and practical applications. The conference aims to deepen cooperation and exchanges, and enhance industry competitiveness. In order to further promote the implementation of network and data security-related policies in the industry, the conference will also focus on the energy and power sector. It will release the Guidelines for Application and Business Security Protection in the Power Industry, covering topics such as secure application scenarios, compliance construction, and capability enhancement.

Advance Combination Between Industry and Finance with the Demonstrate Leadership

The conference will hold a ceremony for the release of the member units of the Big Data Security Working Group of the Key Laboratory of Network Security Technology and Industrial Development under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as a signing ceremony for the support institution for talent capability evaluation in key areas of industry and information technology. It will fully utilize the conference’s role in industry aggregation and demonstration promotion. After the conference, with the goal of promoting collaboration between industry and finance, experts and representatives from key enterprises will be organized to conduct research on the network security industry in Shijiazhuang. A platform for industry and finance integration will be established to promote deep integration of the upstream and downstream industrial chains and jointly support the high-quality development of the network and data security industry.
